NIS and mount question!

hai

I have two questions to ask you.

Question 1:

"mount" could not able to mount a inconsistent FS.
Can i mount a FS forcibly? without asking for FSCK??
If yes, how?

Question 2:

How can i say that my machine is using NIS for system and other information ?
