DHCP on boot = no default route

Hi folks,
I have a Netra running SunOS 5.8 with all the recommende Sun patches. The OS
is set up to DHCP and does so on boot except for one problem. It doesn't get
a default route. However, if I issue the following two commands:
ifconfig hme0 down
ifconfig hme0 dhcp
Then netstat -rn shows the correct default route. Should I just make an
/etc/rc3.d/S99dhcpdefaultroute script or is there something I'm missing?
Any insight would be appreciated.
