mount/fsck question

Hi,

I formatted an external disk on an ultra1/sol2.6 and took the
the same disk to an ultra1/sol2.5. after boot -r stuff it could
see the disk. sol2.5 box had 6 mount (ufs) entries already.
Added two additional ufs entries and a swap entry.
Did the reboot and got erros that i have to run fsck on these
newly added partitions?. why? Is it because of 2.6, 2.5 mismatch?.
