Is there a command to find out if the solaris recognize the cd dr ive

Hi,
	I'd like to know if there is a solaris 8 command that would state if
the system recognizes the cd/dvd drive?

	I have installed a dvd drive to SunFire V120 with solaris 8 running.
Is there a way to make sure the dvd drive is being recognized without
inserting a CD?
