Another serial port problem

Hi all:

I have a Sun Ultra 20 M2 running Solaris 10 x86.  I've installed a 4
port Digi serial board. Downloaded and installed the latest driver. I
can install a loop back plug on the port, and from an su account I can
use tip and talk through the loop back. But when I try to use a
standard user account I get "tip: unknown host /dev/term/dgrasa01".
Obviously some type of rights issue, but I can figure out what. Here is
a listing of the directory:

# ls -la
total 20
drwxr-xr-x   2 root     root         512 Nov  4 12:53 .
drwxr-xr-x  23 root     sys         4608 Nov  6 08:27 ..
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     other         36 Nov  4 12:53 dgrasa01 ->
/devices/pseudo/dgasy at 0:dgrasa01,tty
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     other         36 Nov  4 12:53 dgrasa02 ->
/devices/pseudo/dgasy at 0:dgrasa02,tty
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     other         36 Nov  4 12:53 dgrasa03 ->
/devices/pseudo/dgasy at 0:dgrasa03,tty
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root     other         36 Nov  4 12:53 dgrasa04 ->
/devices/pseudo/dgasy at 0:dgrasa04,tty

The user account is part of the group other. I'm missing something, but
I just can't see it. Any help would be appreciated.
