2^16 limit, too many links

Hi there Guru's,
I'm running Sol 9 in a 25K server connected to my SAN and have one app that
failed because of 2^16 limit of the filesystem.
Another app is about to crash soon, is there any way to fix the "too many
links" problem?, some workaround?, patch?, I've been doing some search and
it seems that there's nothing to do with this, any ideas?, solutions?,
suggestions?. I made some tests and there's no problem creating files (big
or small ones), the problem is only with directories, the filesystem
connected to my SAN has enough space left.
Is this solved in Solaris 10 or newer?, i know that distributions of Linux,
AIX, HP-UX, CentOS, etc, have the same problem because it still a Unix.
Big trouble, ha?
Thank in advance
