I only received one response to my original inquiry from bernards@ECN.NL
(Marcel Bernards) who stated that he has been using the grpid option for
2 years with no problems. However, he does not use the -hosts map which
is what my inquiry addresses. (Thanks Marcel!)
So - if anyone has any information relating to using mount options with
the -hosts automount map I would appreciate any help.
Original Inquiry:
> I am having a problem getting the grpid mount option to work with the
> special automount map -hosts. My server is a SparcServer 2 running
> SunOS 4.1.2. I am automounting to SparcStation 2 workstations running

> My auto.master map looks like this:
> /net -hosts
> /home auto.home
> /3rdpty auto.3rdpty
> /- auto.direct
>
> When I try to add the grpid mount option for /net, it does not work.
> I have tried
> /net -hosts -grpid
> /net -grpid -hosts
